Victor Chandler signs Quickfire deal

Betting Bookmaker Victor Chandler has signed a new deal with Microgaming's Quickfire, which will see Quickfire become the exclusive provider of mobile casino gaming software to the betting firm. Victor Chandler's Turlough Lally called the deal "a logical step", adding that they were "delighted with the opportunity to work with Quickfire".'

No revisions planned for French gaming tax ONLINE French budget minister François Baroin has said that there is no timetable to revise the country's gaming taxation level despite mounting pressure from independent gaming operators and organisations who have labelled the current levels 'excessive'. Responding to questioning, Baroin added that measures to reform France's 8.5 percent tax on gaming would almost certainly not be taken before the French presidential elections in 2012.

Hungary due to levy online gambling tax in 2012 ONLINE Hungary's National Economic Minister György Matolcsy has revealed that the government will start taxing online gambling from 2012. He told a parliamentary committee that the framework for taxing online gambling was being prepared, before adding that levying the tax will be a technically difficult task. He also confirmed that the Hungarian government plans to raise the tax on gaming machines from November 1, 2011.
