GameAccount cracks Tech Track 100's top 30 ONLINE London-based gaming software developer GameAccount Network has been ranked 29th in The Sunday Times' Tech Track 100, making it the only gaming company to feature in the top 30. The company was named on the fastest-growing technology company list after turnover grew to £15.1m in 2010, a rise of £12.3m since 2007, and forecast growth of 50 percent for the current fiscal year. GameAccount is appearing at EiG Expo Milan (20-23 September, 2011).

William Hill in Probability talks MOBILE Bookmaker William Hill confirmed that it had entered into preliminary talks to purchase Gibraltar-based mobile gaming firm Probability. The betting company said that it was still in the early stages of negotiations, and would still be looking at a variety of other mobile gaming acquisitions. Shares in Probability opened at 49p on Monday, valuing the business at £12.9m.

Portugal approves Aristocrat's VIRIDIAN CASINO Aristocrat Technologies' VIRIDIAN WS games have been approved for operation in Portugal. Ladbrokes bolsters online stable with new agreements ONLINE Blueprint Gaming and Ash Gaming have both signed agreements with Ladbrokes to bolster the betting firm's online offering. Both will supply Ladbrokes with a portfolio of predominantly slot games, which include Alice's Wonderland, Pharaoh's Treasure Viz, Zuma, Chuzzle, Bejeweled 2 and Casper. Bet2Go app accepted by UK iTunes Store MOBILE Bet2Go, Cellectivity's sports betting application, has been approved by Apple and is now available through the iTunes online store in the United Kingdom. A spokesperson for Cellectivity said that they were all delighted with the result, and called the move a major breakthrough for the company.

GamblingData in-play report names Bet365 market leader ONLINE A new report from GamblingData revealed that Bet365 currently has the highest range of offerings in the field of in-play betting. Published in association with Sporting Solutions, the report showed that Bet365 covered 18 sports over the selected period, with Ladbrokes (14), Bwin and Paddy Power (10) and William Hill (8) close behind. In terms of number of events, Bet365 covered 229 in total with William Hill next at 188.

Paddy Power predicts 15-20% growth BETTING Paddy Power's CEO Patrick Kennedy predicted that the Irish betting firm would grow at a 15-20 percent rate annually, and take a share of a growing market over the coming years. He also said that the betting firm wouldn't be looking to acquire online rivals in the UK, adding that investment in mobile technology was putting it ahead of the pack in taking smartphone and tablet gamblers.

Intralot launches mobile betting in Italy MOBILE Intralot's Italian subsidiary, Intralot Italia, has launched a new browser-based mobile betting service in the country. Intralot Mobile can be used across all the main smartphone and tablet platforms, and is designed to tap into Italy's mobile penetration rate, which is the highest in Europe. Intralot will be highlighting the new service at this week's EiG Expo, taking place in Milan across the 20-22 September, 2011.

Stranomitis appointed as Offsidegaming trading director ONLINE Konstantinos Stranomitis has been appointed as Trading Director for sportsbook technology provider Offsidegaming, effective immediately. A spokesperson for Offsidegaming called Stranomitis a great asset to the firm, and said that he has already proven to be an extremely valuable member of the team. SE Leisure announce double acquisition STREET UK-based SE Leisure, a major force within the IOA Group, has announced the acquisition of Premier Automatic Machines Ltd and Petron Amusements. The purchase, which has been completed for an undisclosed sum, brings together three of the independent sector's strongest performing companies and increases SE Leisure's estate to in excess of 5,000 machines. The SE Leisure board of directors will be bolstered by the addition of Premier Automatic founder Peter Gordon, Jim Hennessy who also joins from Premier and David King, formerly Managing Director of Petron. As part of a restructuring process brought about by the acquisitions Jonathan Powell becomes the seventh board member at SE Leisure.
