ORLANDO, Fla. Nevada makes national list of top theme parks Dec 27, 2005, 03:42 PM

You may not think of Nevada as home to one of the nation's top theme parks. But it is.

According to the annual survey by the trade publication Amusement Business and the research firm Economics Research Associates, Adventuredome at Circus Circus in Las Vegas is Number eleven in the country.

Its four and one-half million visitors annually puts it right behind Universal Studios Hollywood and ahead of Tampa's Busch Gardens.

Attendance is up two-point-three percent over last year.

Disney properties account for the top five parks and for six of the top seven, led by Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Disneyland in Anaheim, and three Orlando destinations -- Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
