The Gambling Commission approved its installation last June 27th (France).- The installation of new slots in France will take place at various intervals at the The Noirétable Casino, The casino of Gujan-Mestras and Bourbonne-les-Bains, with regard to the approval of 170 slot machines on 27th June by the Gambling Commission, and which represents their very first slots for the three beneficiary casinos.

The Noirétable Casino (Independent, Loire) which has started operating late November 2005, is planning to make its slot machine gaming floor available to patrons as from the 1st September, Henri Caradet, the casino’s manager, told the Journal des Casinos. Sixty units will be placed in a spacious gaming hall which is already offering classic games and the Ball.

There will be 41 state-of-the-art reels and video-reels as well as 19 video-pokers. Eight slot machines will take outlays at 0.1 euros, eighteen at 0.2 euros, nineteen at 0.5 euros, eight at 1 euro, five at 2 euros and two at 5 euros. Three progressives will also be available at 0.2, 0.5 and 1 euro respectively. For these sixty slot machines, Noirétable has been dealing with four suppliers namely TIP, Ludi, Bally and Caro.

The casino of Gujan-Mestras (Socodem, Gironde) which opened its doors at Christmas 2005, will be able to offer its first slot machines from 1st October. Selection of the 50 devices awarded is not over yet.

Finally, the casino of Bourbonne-les-Bains (Group Emeraude, Marne) has to wait until 1st November, that is almost a year after its opening, to have the equipment of sixty units approved by the Gambling Commission, set in operation. In this case, selection of types has not been dealt with so far, either. Journal des Casinos
