UNLV International Gaming Institute endorses G2E Conference (US).- For the thousands of international gaming professionals who attend Global Gaming Expo’s (G2E) conference each year, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) International Gaming Institute’s (IGI) new certificate program for G2E attendees affirms what they have known all along: G2E’s conference provides world-class professional education.

G2E, the premier trade show and conference event for the gaming industry, will take place November 14-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center with the G2E Training & Development Institute November 13. Registration is available on (www.globalgamingexpo.com/yogonet).

The IGI is a non-profit academic institution seeking to build a bridge between academia and the gaming industry by being the premier source of information and training for gaming employees and regulators. Gaming professionals who attend the G2E Conference this year can request a certificate of completion from G2E organizers via the G2E Web site once the event is over. Upon verification of an individual’s attendance, the IGI will issue the attendee a certificate of completion.

“Since our first G2E in 2001, the G2E conference has attracted gaming professionals from every sector and region of the international gaming marketplace seeking to build their knowledge and enhance their professional careers,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association. “UNLV International Gaming Institute’s new certificate program is a resounding recognition of the value of the G2E conference for our industry and gives our attendees an important credential to add to their professional portfolios.”

With the addition of new tracks and sessions, G2E conference content is redesigned and retooled each year to meet and anticipate the needs of gaming professionals working in the constantly-evolving global gaming industry. The conference at G2E 2006 will feature more than 150 in-depth sessions on the gaming industry’s key issues and sectors and will include conference tracks on design and décor, food and beverage; gaming technology; global gaming; interactive gaming; research, law and regulation; tribal government and more. Additional specialized training in areas such as marketing, operations, security and surveillance and more will be offered at the G2E Training & Development Institute, directly preceding G2E on November 13.

One of the highlights of the 2006 conference is a new Global Boardroom Series that will feature leading industry executives from around the world discussing the specific issues and trends influencing individual gaming regions. The five sessions, part of the new global gaming conference track, will offer insights into gaming in Asia/the Pacific Rim, Canada, Eastern Europe, Latin America/Caribbean and Western Europe.

Other conference highlights include G2E’s Future Watch session, focusing this year on the evolving role of technology in gaming, and the G2E Signature Series, which in addition to the Future Watch session will include sessions on crisis preparedness, investment in tribal gaming and strategies for updating older properties to compete in today’s diversified gaming marketplace.
