10.06.2018, Der Gemeinderat der italienischen Enklave Campione d'Italia am Luganersee hat die Gemeinde für zahlungsunfähig erklärt. Das von Insolvenz bedrohte Casino hat seine Zahlungen bisher nicht geleistet. Campione fehlen so rund 30 Millionen Franken in der Bilanz, wie die Nachrichtenagentur Ansa am Donnerstag berichtete.

Das grösste Casino Europas gehört zu 100 Prozent der Gemeinde Campione. 40 Jahre lange hatte sie von den Einnahmen des Casinos profitiert und wurde zwischenzeitlich zu einer der reichsten Gemeinden Italiens.
