Bereits am Montag dieser Woche hat Harrah`s Entertainment einen Vertrag unterzeichnet, der die Übernahme des Binons Horseshoe Las Vegas regelt. Harrah`s Entertainment zählt mit seinen Harrah`s Casinos und dem Rio Resort Las Vegas zu den großen der Casino-Branche.



Das berühmte Binons Horseshoe in der Down Town Las Vegas war letzte Woche wegen finanzieller Schwierigkeiten von staatlicher Seite geschlossen worden. Allgemein wird erwartet, dass die Harrah`s Gruppe das Casino in der Altstadt von Las Vegas möglichst schnell wieder verkaufen wird. Das Hauptinteresse gilt den Namensrechten an "Binions Horseshoe" sowie den Rechten an der legendären "World Series of Poker", der inoffiziellen Poker-Weltmeisterschaft, die vom Binons Horseshoe veranstaltet wird.



Das Binions Horseshoe wurde 1951 von Benny Binion gegründet. Die Tochter Becky Binion Behnen hat nach dem mysteriösen Mord an Benny Binion das Hotel und Casino die letzen Jahre geleitet.
