La Française des Jeux has launched the new generation of its instant game Millionnaire. The game has been completely renewed: the new ticket is colourful, more dynamic, playful and modern. The Millionnaire wheel has a major function as it is in the centre of the ticket. The game formula offers 3 scratch areas on the same ticket (compared to 1 scratch area in the previous version). Players must match 3 like amounts in a same area to win from €2 (ticket price) to €5,000. Players can then cumulate their winnings and win up to 3 times. Revealing 3 TV symbols in a same area qualifies players to take part in a TV show to spin the Millionnaire Wheel and win prizes ranging from €20,000 to €1 million. The prize structure is now more attractive offering more winnings (in particular for low and mid-level prizes). The prize payout has been enhanced from 61.46% to 66.04% and overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 3.70. The TV show has been revamped: the program has been extended to a 23-minute format in a new high tech stage. The TV game concept has been renewed with short winners’ story reports, live surprises on stage, etc. In addition, the new Wheel features new bonus segments: the first one, the mystery segment identified by “???”, allows a participant to select 1 box from 3 with different hidden amounts: €20,000, €100,000 and €1,000,000. The second type of bonus displays five €20,000 segments with a multiplier sign identified by “X”. The players can then multiply their €20,000 prize by 2, 3 or 4. TV winners are invited to Paris for two days, with the companion of their choice to enjoy accommodation in a luxury hotel as well as a gastronomic dinner and attend to a show in a famous Parisian cabaret. Millionnaire is the first French instant lottery game to be combined with a TV show and one of the most popular game of French players.
