Zudem müssen für die Übernahme 2,4 Millionen Dollar an Kommissionen hinterlegt werden. Einen grosser Teil des Geldes musste Harrah's für ausstehende Verbindlichkeiten von Binion's hinterlegen.

Den Hotel-Komplex hat Harrah's umgehend wieder für 20 Millionen Dollar an die in West-Virginia ansässige Firma MTR Gaming Group Inc. Dieser Deal ging im März über die Bühne. Das Binion's wurde am 9. Januar dieses Jahres durch den zuständigen U.S. Marshal wegen ausstehenden Lohnzahlungen geschlossen. Am 1. April wurde es unter der Leitung von Harrah's wieder eröffnet. Harrah's besitzt nun noch die Rechte, das Casino und Hotel für 2 weitere Jahr zu betreiben. Ob sie diese Option einlösen will, ist noch ofen. Die 35. WSOP findet zur Zeit im Binion's statt. Das WSOP und insbesondere das Finalturnier, bei welchem eine Preissumme von gegen 10 Millionen Dollar erwartet wird, findet dieses Jahr vom 22. bis zum 28. Mai noch im Binion's statt.
