HAMMOND, Indiana -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Horseshoe has entered into an alliance with AEG Live, one of the largest concert promotion, special event and touring companies in the world, to develop and program a new 3,200 capacity entertainment venue that will be revealed in August 2008 as part of a $500M casino expansion project.

"We are thrilled to introduce The Venue at Horseshoe Casino to the Chicago area and are confident that AEG Live will play a significant role in its success," said Rick Mazer, Indiana Regional President and General Manager of Horseshoe. "We look forward to working with AEG Live to bring top-level performers and full-scale shows to the new Horseshoe."

As part of the initial multi-year agreement with Horseshoe, AEG Live will book and co- promote concerts, in addition to acting as a marketing advisor for The Venue.

"Our long-term strategy has always been to search out and create strategic relationships with the finest facilities and most respected operators in the marketplace," commented Joe Litvag, Senior Vice President, Midwest region for AEG Live. "The Venue at Horseshoe Casino provides us with the opportunity to align ourselves with the most dynamic new entertainment space in Chicago, along with the most forward-thinking casino entertainment company in the country."

The Venue is being designed by Montreal-based Sceno Plus, whose notable past projects include the Bellagio Theater (Las Vegas), Colosseum at Caesars Palace (Las Vegas), Cirque du Soleil La Nouba Theatre (Orlando), and the Wynn Casino Theater (Las Vegas).

The Venue will be a fully flexible space with the ability to host intimate shows, corporate groups, and fully seated theatrical and sporting events. The entire lower level seats are retractable and can be scaled to create a variable general admission floor, allowing the concert venue to host fully interactive guest experiences. The Venue also features six VIP boxes, with three rows of seats and a salon that features couches, plasma televisions, and bottle service. At full general admission capacity, the facility will hold 3,200 guests, with standard seating for 2,300 plus a suite area with an additional 200 seats.

The Horseshoe Casino expansion will boast up to 350,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment space, as well as new retail and dining experiences. Conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Chicago, its upcoming renovation and scenic setting will make Horseshoe Casino the premier gaming and entertainment destination in the Midwest.
