The Maxim closed its doors completely on November 21st, reopened the hotel portion on December 9, 1999. The complex was sold at an auction for $10 million in July, 2000.



Maxim has 800 rooms and suites, 3 restaurants, a snack bar, 2 lounges, swimming pool and meeting room facilities. Room rates $40 to $80.

Restaurants: Da Vinci's has international entries, dinner served 6 p.m. to midnight 7 days a week. Treehouse Restaurant, open 24-hours a day. Maxim Snacks is the place to go for a quick bite. Grand Evening Buffet serves dinner entries from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. Subject to change.

Gaming includes 850 slot and video machines, 19 gaming tables, 3 craps tables, keno and a Race and Sports Book.

Entertainment is held in the Comedy Max, a comedy night club.
