Tabcorp Expands Online Wagering

26.02.2009, Australian wagering giant Tabcorp's Chief Executive Officer Elmer Funke Kupper announced today gamblers will be able to place bets on International horse racing events online.

Robert Nason, managing director of Wagering for Tabcorp, was quoted as saying, 'International racing continues to grow in popularity among our customers and we are delighted to be adding French racing to our weekly schedule.'

Mr. Nason also said, 'Racing continues to become more global and Tabcorp is at the forefront of ensuring Australian racing is relevant in the international racing community. Tabcorp is also providing another first with the regular import of harness racing from a world-class trotting circuit. This brings benefits to harness racing fans and the harness racing industry.'

Tabcorp provides online gamblers with a huge range of international betting markets including UK, Hong Kong, South African and Singapore.

Tabcorp has more than 200,000 shareholders and has a market capitalisation within the top 50 Australian companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
