Playtech enters Spanish market

18.03.2009, The gaming software group Playtech Ltd (PTEC.LN) announced yesterday its entry into the Spanish market through a licensing agreement with the Spanish Gambling Company Casino Gran Madrid (CGM).

Under the agreement, Playtech will provide a platform CGM its casino platform and poker products through its iPoker network, to launch operations by Internet CGM.

No financial details were provided of the agreement.

The CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizen, said that the agreement is part of its strategy to increase the number of regulated markets where it operates.
