Stunde um Stunde verkleinert sich das Feld! Während des Tages hat Vorjahrssieger Greg Raymer deutlich die Führung übernommen. Sein Spiel ist aktiv, aggressiv, professionell. Am Nachmittag musste er sie jedoch abgeben. Um 17.43 Uhr (Dienstag) lagen an der Spitze:

Um 18.02 Uhr eliminierte Greg Raymer Alejandro Pacheco. Am Tisch lagen zwei Könige. Pacheco hielt einen dritten König mit 10 als Kicker in der Hand. Raymer hatte seinen König in Verbindung mit einem Ass.

Kurz nach 20.00 Uhr saßen noch genau 93 Spieler an den Tischen. Raymer hatte die Führung bereits abgegeben. Er verfügte noch über rund 1,2 Millionen in Chips. Am Tisch lagen 7 – 5 – 3 – K und Raymer brachte $ 80.000. Tex Barch ging mit. Eine 6 kam als River und nun setzte Barch $ 400.000. Raymer ging mit und musste einen enormen Berg von Chips abtreten. Barch hielt 8 – 9 zur Straße in der Hand.

Beim Überfliegen der Namenslisten fand ich keinen Deutschen unter den aktiven Teilnehmern. Alexander Dietrich war zumindest am Beginn des Tages noch an einem der Tische. Jens Vörtmann ist an 218. Stelle ausgeschieden. Immerhin, er gewann $ 33.197. Tim Gillig verabschiedete sich kurz davor, als 306., mit $ 21.070. Der Däne Klaus Agesen endete auf Rang 300 – mit dem gleichen Preisgeld.

Zwei Tage dauert es noch, bis sich das Feld für den Final Table reduziert haben wird (Freitag, 15. Juli).
