Online Poker Software Providers Look at Argentina

31.08.2009, The word that Argentina is proposing a turn around on it's online gambling policies has the world of software solutions humming with anticipation as this large market begins to show signs of opening up. Poker stars. net started an aggressive advertizing campaign recently sponsoring the football club River Plate.

Software runs the online gambling industry and is a big employer in the industry. South America may prove one of the biggest markets for online gambling with the young demographic, who are very tech savvy and interested in everything online.

Vince Van Horn, vice-president of operations for the Access Corporation in Santa Monica, CA has commented that "We are seeing many more inquiries to our poker start up website Poker Site Central from individuals inquiring about custom poker software solutions for many South American countries. Although we offer casino and sportsbook software options as well, poker seems to be attracting the most interest at the moment."

Mr. Van Horn went on to add that several projects are expected to commence in the next few weeks that will specifically target the Argentine gambling market. Poker Site Central has been a leader in starter situations for new online gambling operators.

With the possibility of online poker and casino operators coming to Argentina in maybe two years more than one software developer is sure to put a few people to the task of making it easy for those companies to access the world. Is the Argentine government sure that this is a good move for the nation? That remains to be debated of course. It would make sense to any software company to start now because two years is little time enough to get established. The mayor of Buenos Aires revealed last year that he was looking into the option of legalizing online gambling in the city. Greek firm Intralot was the front runner for a licence there. The mayor of Buenos Aires at that point was only studying the idea of online gambling, now there is some serious consideration the whole country will study the possibility of a regulated online gambling national industry similar to that of Britain or Antigua.
