10.11.2009, Rotterdam, The Netherlands -- November 06, 2009 -- Gaming Support announced today the
completion of the resort-wide installation of its JackpotJunction XL/CastNET digital
signage system throughout City of Dreams.
The completed installation follows the recent opening of Grand Hyatt Macau at City of Dreams, an integrated urban entertainment resort developed by Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market (NASDAQ: MPEL).
A highly ambitious deployment of the JackpotJunction XL/CastNET digital signage system, the City of Dreams implementation features a revolutionary technical architecture based on an IPTV distribution infrastructure. As opposed to traditional digital signage deployments utilizing matrix or streaming architectures, the company has implemented a hybrid model which delivers matrix-caliber picture quality and fault-tolerance with the networking and cabling efficiencies associated traditionally with streaming architectures. Additionally, the company is incorporating gaming data system-wide, covering application sets ranging from kiosk-based wayfinding to in-room entertainment and outdoor signage.
“We are extremely proud to have successfully installed JackpotJunction XL/CastNET digital signage system throughout such a landmark resort as City of Dreams,” stated Mr. Nick Hogan, Gaming Support’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “This marks the company’s inaugural installation in the Macau market and we’re positively delighted to be a collaborator of City of Dreams.”
“In designing and fulfilling the City of Dreams vision, we’ve set the bar extremely high,” stated Mr. Michael French, Senior Vice President, Operations of City of Dreams. “These exacting standards have applied to every aspect of execution--delivering luxurious facilities, recruiting exceptional staff and selecting only the best products and suppliers,” continued Mr. French. “In our lengthy and exhaustive review of digital signage solutions, Gaming Support demonstrated the know-how, flexibility and proven installed base to meet these standards.”
JackpotJunction XL/CastNET digital signage system is a modular, server-based system that utilizes the combined offerings of Scala, Alpha Video and Gaming Support to enable multi- venue gaming operators to manage and deliver multimedia and integrated gaming content consistently and reliably throughout an entire enterprise. As one of the world’s only wide-area gaming-enabled digital signage systems, JackpotJunction XL/CastNET digital signage system is the solution-of-choice for the world’s largest and most sophisticated gaming enterprises.
