Tatts sells South African gaming interests

11.11.2009, South Africa.- Gaming giant Tatts Group Ltd says it has entered into a deal to sell all its interest in South African gaming operations to a local company for us$ 21.8 million.

Tatts said in February that it sought to buy up to four businesses in Australia. Shares in Tatts closed three cents lower at us$ 2.45.

Tatts said in a statement on Monday that the sale to Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed Grand Parade Investments Ltd was subject to conditions including South African regulatory approvals. It said the transaction was expected to be complete during the first half of calendar 2010.
