.... if it wins the Marina Bay casino licence. Locals can expect to get 75 per cent of it, including senior positions, the US casino operator said yesterday. Sands is among four bidders for the casino. The others are Genting International, Harrah's Entertainment and MGM Mirage.

Another 10,000 jobs will be created by tenants in the resort, including retailers. The proposed US$3.6 billion (S$5.8 billion) resort, The Marina Bay Sands, would add 1 per cent to Singapore's 2010 economic output, it said. It has included 1.2 million sq ft of convention facilities in its plan. It is equivalent to the size of two National Stadiums.
