Las Vegas is overflowing with the biggest and the best of everything, including hotels. In 2004, the growth continues as hotels expand to meet demand. Some expansions on the horizon include:

Mandalay Bay unveils THEhotel, a new tower with more than 1,000 rooms. THEhotel's one-bedroom suite will be the largest standard hotel room in Las Vegas.

Bellagio opens the Spa Tower, with 925 rooms, a spa, and retail, convention, and restaurant space.

Rio will break ground on a $31 million project to expand its Pavilion Convention Center, making Rio the eighth largest convention hotel in the country.

A new 949-room, 26-story hotel tower is the latest project at Caesars Palace. Also slated is a $76 million addition to the resort's convention and meeting facilities.

Station Casinos expects to break ground on its next project, Red Rock Station in Summerlin, by mid- 2004.

In early 2004, construction begins on a new, 460-room tower at the Orleans. The $36 million expansion is expected to take about a year to be completed.
