Play Concludes A total of 175 players from the original starting field of 1,088 made it back for the second day of Event No. 13, the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em event. It didn't take long to reach the cash bubble, with Joe Sebok and Beth Shak being the last players eliminated before we reached the last 117. By night's end, 20 players remained. The chip leaders heading into tomorrow's final day of play include Gregg Merkow, Angel Guillen, and Bahador Ahmadi. Roland de Wolfe and Kirill Gerasimov are also right in the thick of things with substantial stacks. And it appeared Phil Ivey, who already has one bracelet this summer, would be returning with a lot of chips as well, until a late hit to his stack leaves him the short stack when play resumes tomorrow. Thanks for following today's coverage. And come back here to PokerNews for all of the action starting at 1 p.m. Vegas time tomorrow to see who of the final twenty emerges as our next bracelet winner.

Day 2 Ends; Who Will Stop Kid Poker?
That brings an end to a long day in which our field of 98 hopefuls were reduced to our final 11. It was a roller coaster ride today through times of hyper-aggression once the money bubble burst, to the tight play late in the evening once the players caught a sniff of a final table berth. One man who took superb advantage of this was PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu, who pounded relentlessly on his opponents and personally eliminated many of them to accumulate a massive chip lead. With thoughts of last year's Limit Holdem bracelet win in his mind, Negreanu will be focused and very hard to stop. However, it was Tommi Horkko who made a surge late in the day to claim the unofficial overnight chip lead. The likes of Shawn Buchanan, Barry Shulman and the elusive Russian Nikolay Losev will also be lurking in the wings. Play will recommence at 1pm tomorrow local time as we play down until a champion is crowned! We look forward to your company then!

Day 1 Complete (players left: 165 of 655 entrants)
A $5,000 buy-in attracted an all-star line-up to Event 15. In all, 655 professionals and amateurs anted up to compete for a share of prize pool worth $3,078,500. A number of big names fell throughout the day, with pros like Howard Lederer, Scotty Nguyen and Humberto Brenes leaving early and others like Tiffany Michelle and Phil Hellmouth nursing short stacks for as long as possible. While many departed, others built massive chip stacks that will serve them well when we start Day 2 at 2PM tomorrow. Some of the healthier stacks belong to pros like Nenad Medic, Victor Ramdin, Gavin Griffin, and Vanessa Rousso and Jimmy Fricke who spent much of the day at the Killer Table which was packed with talent from the very first hand of the day. The biggest stacks of the day are all well over 100,000 chips and are, in order: Alexander Toryanski - 175,000 Faraz Jaka - 170,000 Brian Lemke - 160,000 Fabian Quoss - 135,000 Luke Staudenmaier - 133,000 Join us tomorrow as we play our way toward the final table and see which of the 165 returning players finishes the day on top.
Seven Card Stud (Event 16)
Saturday, June 06, 2009 to Monday, June 08, 2009 Buy-in: $1,500 Prizepool: $490,035 Entries: 359
That's a Wrap! (players left: 97 of 359 entrants)
Day 1 of Event 16 - $1,500 Seven Card Stud has come to an end! We saw 359 stud enthusiasts take to the felt today, but only 97 would make it through to Day 2. Ted Forrest, Mike Caro, Ylon Schwartz, Anna Wroblewski, Andy Bloch, Tom Schneider, David Singer and Michael Binger would all perish before the chips were bagged. Professional poker player David Levi emerges at the head of the pack with a healthy 49,600 in chips. Hot on his tails tomorrow will be Jeff Lisandro (40,700), Jason Mercier (35,000), Thor Hansen (33,300) and John Juanda (30,400). Many still have their shot at capturing their first bracelet, including Allen Kessler (5,100), Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi (14,500), and David Bach (31,800) as they battle tomorrow until the final table is reached. Make sure to log on to PokerNews tomorrow at 2pm local time to catch every bring-in, door card and every split pair of Day 2 action!
