Omaha-8 Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was all in on a board of 6h, Ks, 9s, 2s, 2h on the river. Matusow showed only the 2c after his opponent showed Kc, Kh, 6d, 5s for kings full. "Deuces full of s**t!" Matusow exclaimed as he exited to the rail.

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi and Stefan Rapp have both fallen prey to opponents in today's event. Mizrachi was busted in a hold'em hand by Billy "The Croc" Argyros on a board of Jh, 8h, 4s, 3h, Ac. Argyros held pocket eights for a set to best Mizrachi's Kh, Qd. All of the money went in on the turn where Mizrachi was looking for a heart on the river.

Ursprünglich wurden die Tourniere in Las Vegas Downtown im Binion's Horseshoe Casino ausgetragen. Im Jahre 2005 kaufte Caesars den Brand WSOP. Seit diesem Datum werden die Pokermeisterschaften im Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino durchgeführt.
