WSOP Tournament of Champions Will Return

03.04.2010, Thursday, May 27, 2010 to Saturday, July 17, 2010 are the scheduled dates for the upcoming 41st edition World Series of Poker. Held at the famous Rio® All-Suite Hotel and Casino on West Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The 2010 World Series of Poker, features 57 gold bracelet events, equal to last year. The event is one of poker's most coveted seats and is as exciting as it gets when you watch the 27 players make unbelievable plays that can make or break their bankrolls. The World Series of Poker has announced the return of it's Tournament of Champions. The Tournament of Champions, is a $1 million dollar free roll, and is open only to those who have won a World Series of Poker championship bracelet.

If Marty Smyth, a champion player, makes it into the tournament he has said he will donate any winnings to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Dublin Ireland. An invitational tournament, sponsored by the World Series of Poker the decision for inclusion is fan based driven by ballots cast. The voting has already commenced. Every person who signs up for a ballot will be able to cast twenty votes for their favourite champion poker players. Smyth would be a good choice to vote for because you know he is playing for the sick kids hospital in Dublin.

Marty Smyth is a qualified candidate having won the 2008, WSOP’s Pot Limit Omaha World Championship. Using today's world wide web to get his fan base rolling Smyth already has a fan page on the Facebook social network boasting many fans already. Smyth's confident playing style and impressive wins such as the World Open, Irish Open, and Poker Million events, will if he is elected to participate in the Tournament of Champions make other players play their game a lot tighter. Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson, David Sklansky, and other big names in the industry are all making headway in the race for votes from fans.
